Profile changes the effect.
The same finish can read differently across a flat panel, a stronger horizontal profile or a more detailed door. Consider how lines and pattern work at the scale of the full opening. A close-up sample is useful, but step back and imagine the door from the street as well. Reference images can help communicate your direction without being treated as an exact product specification.
Understand the surface you are choosing.
Timber-look describes an appearance, not one universal material or coating. Ask what the selected product is made from and how its finish should be cared for. Coastal exposure, cleaning requirements and product terms should be discussed against that actual specification. Avoid assuming that a wood-like appearance needs the same maintenance as natural timber, or that every timber-look system behaves identically.
